In the second semester, Saint Anthony’s College integrates a Comprehensive Review Program into the curriculum of its Teacher Education students as part of their preparation for the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET). The program is designed to strengthen students’ mastery of core subjects and to enhance their readiness for professional practice.
Instructor Kate Tumaliuan serves as the coordinator and primary facilitator of the review program. Sessions are held every Friday, and occasionally on Saturday, depending on the availability of faculty members and lecturers assigned to handle specific subject areas. Each lecturer is responsible for preparing pre-tests and post-tests, ensuring that students’ progress can be effectively monitored. The pre-test gauges students’ prior knowledge, followed by a discussion of key concepts, and finally, the post-test measures the learning outcomes.
Upon the completion of all review sessions, students undertake a Pre-Board Examination, the results of which are posted for transparency and feedback. This assessment serves as a simulation of the actual board examination and helps both students and instructors identify areas that require further improvement.
After graduation, Saint Anthony’s College maintains a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Carl Balita Review Center (CBRC) Tuguegarao. Under this partnership, all Teacher Education graduates of the college are required to enroll in CBRC for their final phase of LET review. While the review proper will be conducted at Saint Anthony’s College, some sessions featuring CBRC’s Icon Lecturers will take place at the CBRC Tuguegarao branch. Additional tests may also be administered at the review center.
Student performance during the external review is continuously monitored through online score submissions, which CBRC staff provide via shared links. This collaborative effort between Saint Anthony’s College and CBRC Tuguegarao underscores the institution’s commitment to producing competent, confident, and board-ready future educators.
